I was inspired by Nathan Zed’s “You’ll Never Be Ready” video, he touched on many topics that I resonated with. But what also caught my attention was that he attached a soundtrack (or playlist) to it. Which I thought was interesting considering that when we content creators put music in our videos, we would just list them in the description and call it a day (which is also fine, I do it too) but curating a soundtrack/playlist was very cool in my opinion and I think we should do that for our bigger projects in general.

Matter fact, originally TTG: A RETROSPECTIVE was going to have one. Most of the songs are there for me and my friend @unl3ash_ on Instagram to edit with, but also with most have relevance to the character or themes of the video itself.

Remember, not every song on the soundtrack will appear in the video, nor do I own ANY of these songs or Spider-Man itself. This is just for fun and all of the songs and characters are owned by the creators, whether MARVEL or any artists who created these songs. - M

I’m an aspiring filmmaker, a video editor, a content creator, and a writer. I was born on November 12, 2003. What got me into video editing and filmmaking, in general, was the many cartoon reviews that I watched on YouTube as a kid. I love animation; it’s one of my favorite mediums ever. The first movie that got me into filmmaking was “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” (2010). That movie had an incredible impact on me as an early teen, and I want to make films that scratch that itch.

I LOVE video editing and filmmaking. I have been editing and filming videos since I was 12. I was mostly self-taught, with some exceptions, such as broadcasting class, photography club, and screenwriting courses. I first started editing videos on the now-defunct app YouTube Capture. Some of my earliest videos were edited on my iPhone 5 using YouTube Capture, which is one of those editing software programs used to make videos in a quick, but careless, manner.

When I got my first laptop at 14, I used the free editing software, iMovie, with my Blue Snowball microphone. iMovie, as an editing software, wasn’t amazing with its many limitations, but for people with little to no editing experience, in my opinion, it's the software to start with. It’s made by Apple and is exclusively available on Apple products.

After that, when I was around 15, I chose to work at the broadcasting studio at my school’s Career Center. It’s a separate campus used to teach freshmen and sophomores various job skills and careers. I really enjoyed broadcasting because it was the only class where I could engage in my personal passion.

The class also taught me how to edit video more professionally with Final Cut Pro X, an editing software developed by Apple and Macromedia. I currently use it, and it does a much better job at video editing than iMovie. It’s really expensive, though, it’s $300. There is a student trial version that’s $200, but it’s only usable for a week.

I’m slowly transitioning into using DaVinci Resolve. It’s an editing program on iOS and PC. It started as color-grading software but, over time, turned into editing software. It mimics a number of editing programs. So, for example, if you just got off using Final Cut, it will use the specific editing format you're already used to. It also has a free version with most of its features. It’s much more in-depth than other free editing programs, with many features like animations, audio mixing, and color correction.

As I'm writing this, I'm currently working on a couple of “milesisonline!” episodes like "INFINITY TRAIN: THE NEXT STEP IN ANIMATION: BOOK TWO", "COMMERCIALS", and more!
